What We Do
Hong Kong Sacred Spaces investigates Hong Kong Culture through walks, lectures, and workshops. The group visits places in Hong Kong that are culturally important and meaningful to people’s lives. These “spaces" include temples, ancestral sites, churches, military monuments and burial sites. The group also visits museums and galleries regularly to take advantage of Hong Kong place as an important depot of traditional Chinese Culture and it’s growing position in international art.
The Food Culture Series interrogates our knowledge of the Food System in Hong Kong by exploring little known areas of food production and distribution. These can include traditional spaces like farmland and traditional “ wet" markets but can also well known corporate food manufacturing brands.
Public Art Walk Series
Furthering the core mandate of Sacred Spaces to engage the local Art scene a special series was created to highlight art work that is publicly available for viewing.
Hong Kong Sacred Spaces also hosts an array of workshops designed to educate the public on Traditional and Non-traditional Arts and Crafts.
